Code of Conduct PURPOSE To ensure that all members, spectators, officials and volunteers have a very clear understanding of the behaviour that is expected from everyone and to make it clearly understood that breaches of these codes will result in disciplinary action. ALL MEMBERS, GUESTS, SPECTATORS AND VOLUNTEERS are required to: Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every person regardless of their gender, ability, cultural background or religion Support, encourage and involve all persons regardless of their talent level Never ridicule or yell at people for errors or poor performance Always consider the well being and safety of people before performance and results Encourage people to value their performances and not just results Maintain respectful and appropriate relationships with all parties Ensure all activities are appropriate to the age, ability and experience of participants Display consistently high standards of good behaviour and appearance Follow all guidelines laid down by the national governing body and the Club Hold appropriate valid qualifications before commencing to coach Never use offensive language or behaviour To act as a role model at all times. Display consistently high standards of good conduct including respecting others Adhere to and support the Club policies Be trustworthy Always maintain a watch on VHF Channel 16 when at sea
